Steps to Enable Microphone Permission

To ensure a Smooth test and to avoid last-minute issues, please make sure that all prerequisites are met before starting your test. You can start by checking your system readiness using the Prerequisites check. This will ensure your system meets all the requirements.


Browser-Specific Instructions

Find the section for your browser (Preferred: Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) and follow only those steps. This ensures accurate adjustments.


For Google Chrome

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the three-dot menu (top-right corner) and select Settings.

  2. Manage Microphone Permissions:

    • Go to Privacy and Security in the left sidebar.

    • Click Site settings.

    • Scroll down and select Microphone.

  3. Adjust Permissions and Test Access:

    • Set permissions for specific websites (Allow or Block).

    • Visit a site requiring microphone access and click Allow when prompted.


For Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the three-dot menu (top-right corner) and select Settings.

  2. Manage Microphone Permissions:

    • Select Cookies and site permissions.

    • Click on Microphone.

  3. Adjust Permissions and Test Access:

    • Set permissions for specific sites (Allow or Block).

    • Visit a site needing microphone access and click Allow when prompted.


For Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the three-line menu (top-right corner) and select Settings.

  2. Manage Microphone Permissions:

    • Click Privacy & Security in the left sidebar.

    • Scroll to the Permissions section and find Microphone.

  3. Adjust Permissions and Test Access:

    • Set permissions for specific websites (Allow or Block).

    • Visit a site that requires microphone access and click Allow when prompted.


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Microphone Not Detected: Check the connection and restart your browser.

  • No Permission Prompt: Clear browser cache or manually allow permissions in settings.

  • Access Still Blocked: Ensure system settings allow microphone access for your browser.

  • Poor Quality: Reduce background noise and select the correct microphone in settings.
